Navigating the Getting Started Page

The Getting Started Page is your central hub for entering rounds, planning, and exploring practice tools. To access it:

  • Tap the golf ball icon at the bottom of the home page.

  • You’ll see slightly different options depending on whether you’re using the Basic or Pro version of Upgame.

Here’s what each section includes:

1. My Tournaments

  • Players → View tournaments you’ve created, as well as those set up by coaches you’re connected to.

  • Coaches → See tournaments you’ve created and tournaments your players are involved in.

This is your space to keep track of all competitive events tied to your account.

2. Assigned Tournaments

  • Displays tournaments that have been assigned to you by other coaches.

  • Applies to both coaches (receiving tournaments from peers) and players (receiving tournaments from coaches).

This ensures you never miss an event you’ve been added to.

3. Add New Round

This is the feature most players will use frequently.

  • Start logging your rounds here.

  • Depending on whether you’re on Basic or Pro, the data entry process will look a little different.

👉 Check out our detailed tutorials for step-by-step instructions on adding rounds in both versions.

4. Practice

The Practice section is where training meets competition.

  • Access practice drills from the Upgame Library.

  • See drills created by yourself, your coach, or other connected players.

  • Share drills with your group and compete on leaderboards for extra motivation.

This is a powerful way to turn practice into measurable progress.

5. Plan Round (Pro) / Yardage Book (Basic)

  • Yardage Book (Basic) → Provides a simple course image where you can:

    • Chart distances to safe landing zones.

    • Strategize your approach distances to the green.

  • Plan Round (Pro) → A more advanced tool that lets you:

    • Select landing zones and overlay your dispersion history from previous rounds.

    • Pull in shot data from Trackman (via Shot Analysis).

    • Use Shot Tracker to see results from other Upgame users:

      • Identify landing areas that led to positive outcomes.

      • Avoid areas that caused mistakes or penalties.

This section gives you a clear, data-driven way to plan smarter strategies for your rounds.
